Great Big THANK YOU!!!

Just wanted to send you both a note of deepest thanks for being the wonderful people and Chiropractors you are!!!!!

I'm so fortunate to have been introduced to your amazing selves, all because I was clever enough to attend Martha's Stress 101 Seminar for our correctional group last fall. When I think how that (not so) chance meeting has evolved into the wonderful relationship I have with you both today……WOW!!!!!

You are both fantastic people!!!!! Your zest and enthusiasm, and your positive outlook and philosophies on life are such a rare but precious find in this day and age!!!!! As I sat and listened intently to Carl's presentation last night (Making A Move Towards Changing Your Life), I was overwhelmed. Firstly, because of his incredible insight and the knowledge and wealth of ideas he was able to impart so clearly and logically to the group. Secondly, because I actually understood practically everything about which he spoke!!!

You know, a year ago I wouldn't have understood much, if any, of it…I wouldn't have "gotten it". Thankfully-with the assistance (and patient persistence) of not only your second-to-none Chiropractic care, but all the "extras" you provide through your kindnesses and the sharing of your wisdom through your seminars.

I believe I have been carefully guided "onto the right road" and "down the right path", so to speak. When I think of the incredibly positive change my life has taken, in large part as a result of your care-I am truly grateful for all my blessings, which, of course, include knowing you two!!!

You are super-duper people, and I am proud to know you and thrilled to be under your excellent care.

Thanks, again, for being you!!!!!

How A Subluxation Affected My Eyesight

August 2001

The right side of my neck had been very subluxated for several weeks. In fact, it was so tense it wouldn't adjust on Friday afternoon. My head felt almost headachy Saturday morning, but that went away. On Sunday night when I was brushing my teeth, I noticed my left pupil was dilated to 3 to 4 times its normal size.

When I got up in the morning it was the same, so I got an appointment with my ophthalmologist. I just couldn't figure out why the left eye should be affected, when the large subluxation in my neck was on the right side.

He examined my eyes and informed me there was nothing wrong with the eyes, but that I must have a pinched nerve in my neck. I told him I did, but it was on the right side. He said "that's right"; it's the right pupil, which is contracted too much, and causing the left one to overcompensate.

I said "Oh, that's great! I couldn't figure out how I could have a problem on the left side when the subluxation was on the right."

After being adjusted Monday and Tuesday, my pupils returned to normal.

Chiropractic and Asthma

For as long as I can remember, I have had problems with exercised-induced asthma and have been dependent on a Ventolin inhaler to be able to breathe during the activities I love to do.  When I started my Chiropractic care in May, Dr. Martha told me that she could help get rid of my breathing problems.  I must admit I was skeptical but a couple of short months later, that skepticism was transformed into a realization that she was right.  It occurred to me at the end of a half hour run that I wasn't short of breath at all during the high-paced run, a feat that hasn't been accomplished in as long as I can remember!  It wasn't a fluke either as I have ran with ease several times since.  I am very grateful to Dr. Martha for helping me realize my potential which will boost my confidence going into my final (and hopefully most successful) junior hockey season.

Chiropractic Adjustments For My Cat

I am fairly new to the Chiropractic experience, having sought care beginning last year with a weightlifting injury.  It was the only option I chose, and it resolved not only the injury but general problems associated with scoliosis.

Around the same time, one of my cats began to encounter difficulties.  I have had cats all my life and have rarely dealt with illness in my animal companions.  My Manx, James, had been healthy since I'd found him as a stray a few years before and had beefed him up to a comfortable weight.

I realized I could trace his problems back to several encounters he had had with a particularly vicious neighbourhood cat.  Each encounter had resulted in heavy veterinary bills as my cat was injured in brawls with the newcomer who was determined to set up his territory.  My new neighbour was unable to keep her cat indoors, so I began walking James on a leash.  I thought the matter was resolved.

However, soon after, James began having problems with eye infections--even developing an ulcer on his cornea.  He also began to lick the fur off his tummy to the point of developing lesions.

The cornea was treated by a vet, and a cortisone shot was administered for the licking behaviour.  However, the problem persisted and I realized that the solutions the vet was giving me were not getting to the core of the matter.

My Chiropractor suggested that I take my cat to a practitioner qualified in animal chiropractic work.  Regular adjustments have cleared up the problems James was having with no need for cortisone shots or eye medications.  Now, as soon as his eyes start to redden or he takes excessive interest in his tummy, he gets a Chiropractic adjustment.

In considering the validity of Chiropractic care, I think it's important to recognize that animals are unlikely to experience a placebo effect.  The adjustment doesn't work because they think it does.

Cats from the Manx family in particular may benefit from Chiropractic because their particular spinal configuration is the result of genetic mutation.  They have longer back legs than most breeds of cat, giving them a lope to their spine that may be more likely to result in subluxations.  Also, many Manx cats as they age develop arthritis in their tails (which may be only one or two vertebrae in length).  Sometimes, they must be removed surgically.  Regular Chiropractic care may help James to avoid this fate.

For my other cat, Sundance, occasional Chiropractic care has had a calming influence.

I am thankful to the dedicated Chiropractors who maintain my health and the health of my dear animal companions.  Chiropractic care has enabled all of us to live dynamic, healthy, drug-free lives.

CHIROPRACTIC IN LIEU OF SURGERY

I first found out about Chiropractic by being having it recommended by my family physician instead of surgery.  In 1996 I had pinched nerves on my right side and severe back attacks, and in 2001, serve back attacks again, inflamed tendons in my right side and inflamed tendons in my feet and hands (repetitive strain).

These problems interfered with being able to work and my daily routine was accomplished with discomfort.  After my 12th adjustment I noticed substantial improvement.  I now notice a general sense of well-being and knowledge that there is light at the end of the tunnel.

I do not feel surgery should be discussed by physicians prior to a Chiropractic evaluation.  In my case I feel that back problems, nerve endings, tendons, with proper Chiropractic maintenance will produce many years of well-being.

Many thanks to Dr. Carl Weber and staff.

CHIROPRACTIC FOR INJURED DISCS

I am a D.V.A. World War II veteran and have been on disability for osteo-arthritis and sciatica with sciatic joints.  Chiropractic adjustments have been very helpful for me since 1981 when I first visited a Chiropractor in Sherbrooke, before moving to Kingston.  I originally injured my discs in August 1981 and was recommended to see a Chiropractor.  I suffered severely for a number of day and after a few Chiropractic adjustments I enjoyed almost immediate relief.  Now I am agile in my movements when walking or doing my daily housework and can enjoy life with much less pain.

The Biggest and Healthiest Care
CHIROPRACTIC MAINTENANCE

Carl right from the beginning I wanted to say Thank-you. I wish to let others know my feelings, knowledge and importance of regular Chiropractic adjustments. How I feel is not a miracle it is how I feel on a daily basis-an overall feeling of health.

The whole team at the office really makes the experience enjoyable. From Miss Anne always making room for the needy, to April with all her information on Drugs, to your hug from Carl after each adjustment, along with the other members of the team Martha and Nina.

I want people to realize, many times over, the help I've received. I started Chiropractic for my neck and head. I couldn't function, think, or digest food. I can't pick just one miracle. From falling and hurting my shoulder to healing my neck, stomach nerves, back, wrist, thumb, index finger, hips and urinating.

I know Chiropractic helps me get through my job, and clears my mind. My mind and body know when I don't get adjusted. I don't need flu shots, Chiropractic keeps me healthier. There is no need to fear walking into an office that is full of sick people, because I know I am well protected.

It is nice to have a down to earth relationship with Carl, compared to other doctors. Family doctors give you drugs to camouflage, instead of dealing with the problem. I feel like they are my friends and family and I know that I am loved.

Your health is like your car take care of it or else.

The work Chiropractors do keep our spines healthy and happy. Words cannot say how important Chiropractic care is for everyone.

I am sharing this from my heart hoping others will read and recognize how much they need Chiropractic. Martha and Carl are gearing their life to helping keep us stress free and healthy.

Instead of Cookies and wine at Christmas, I wrote this from my heart.

Witness M.P., TEN years of a HEALTHIER and HAPPIER life with a HAPPY, HEALTHY spine.

IMPACT

IMPACT is the only way to describe how chiropractor care has changed my life.

My outlook on life, how I lived day by day, how I functioned as a human being all changed about three years ago. The moment I decided to be adjusted, to take the first steps to becoming a better me!

My walking this wondrous path, all started a year prior to the Chiropractor Life Center. I had developed in layman's terms, a upper bowel infection of unknown origin. I was for that year in and out of emergency with
stabbing pains in by abdomen. At one point, I was admitted to the hospital through the emergency department for a period of one week. The unknown infection had my white cell count at an extremely high level. This making my mysterious pain a recognizable thing to the doctors.
For a week, I was on no solids or fluids while in the hospital. Being allowed a limited amount of ice chips per day. This supposedly to clean out the infection.

Then came the "good news", I was being allowed by the doctors to have part of my upper bowel removed to see "WHAT IF THIS HELPS OR THIS SHOULD WORK WE HOPE" Near the end of this not so wondrous journey into the world of surgery, I was only able to eat and keep in my
system brown rice and oatmeal.

I had heard chiropractor adjustments help people with bowel problems. Hey, this was me I said. Since I had eight weeks to wait for the surgery, I decided to give this a try. The first week of attending the seminar for
new patients, and my first few adjustments was when I knew my life had been altered.

I remember being told adjustments were like getting braces. Braces were a two to three year commitment to straighten teeth. Was I willing to make the same commitment. The commitment would be for a life-time of
wellness for the mind, body and soul.

In the past three years the slug (the slug being me), a person working and just existing has blossomed into a butterfly. A butterfly knowing no boundaries for the sky is truly limitless.

I had graduated from high school and started working. The TV was my window to the world.

When you are subluxated, and do not know it, the world just goes by you, and it seems normal to just exist.

After the first few adjustments the power came on! The world was not two colors, but thousands of different hues. The adjustments in the beginning were not the most pleasant, but the story of the braces kept me coming back.

Three years later, at the age of 37. I am typing this letter of love and inspiration to others on my own computer. After being out of school for fifteen years, I had the confidence to jump with both feet into a second
year college marketing course. With no previous college preparation, I received a 85% and was fourth in my class. One year later being completely computer illiterate, I signed on for two computer courses. Receiving 100% in my first course Introduction to Information Technology in Business. The second course is still pending the results.

Even my employer says I am happier, more energetic, well focused. After have being with the company for six years and due to the last years performance (a.k.a dealing with my subluxations). This year my employer gave me a reward for the last years employment by putting me on salary. It is amazing, but the first three years of my employment
before being adjusted seem to be just a haze of putting in time.

To end this never ending testimonial, I would like to say,
DEALING WITH SUBLUXATIONS, MEANS LIFE HAS NO BOUNDARIES!!!!
SO MAKE A CHOICE AND TURN THE POWER ON FOR A BETTER YOU!!!

Opting out of being in a wheelchair for the rest of my life

In 1976 I had a baby girl, she was nine pounds in weight, after she was born my back started giving me real problems, my family doctor sent me for x-rays etc; any way the out come of it was he told me I would be in a wheelchair by the time 1979 came as my disc's were fusing together.

Thank God I didn't accept his diagnoses and give in to having an operation.  I went to see a Chiropractor (during this time I was living in Rhodesia) there was only two to choose from in the city I lived in luckily for me I choose the right one, he examined me I have scoliosis and told me I was born with it and didn't need any operation, from then I started playing squash for a few years.  Here in Canada I have been going to the gym for the past five years three times a week, have regular Chiropractic adjustments and no operation.

It is now 24 years since the birth of my daughter. I hope my story will be of help to someone else.
